The vegan thing is going surprisingly well. During week #1, we were suspect and tried to limit sarcastic comments. We figured it would last 48 hours. Maybe 72. But in fact, Scout is holding steady and now she is aggravated that we are getting more involved (Note: we have a hard time just being supportive). AND we found out the Emerson College has a special vegan section in their dining hall. Things sure have changed since 1975.
Would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to a reader who weighed in on the whole vegan thing. Reading comments on your blog reminds you that it takes all kinds. I had to read this one twice. As you read it, did you have the same question I did? Any correlation between her master’s program and her sideshow gig?
My daughter is sure that Joan Crawford was my parenting role model. Sigh. She became a vegetarian in high school. Then a vegan her first year of college. She is now in a masters program and eats bugs in a sideshow. I am not sure how that all is related, but I am pretty sure it is. I am very proud of my daughter and the fine human being that she became. Except for the eating bugs part.
