“It’s a boy! says Mary Cheney and Heather Poe

It won’t surprise you to hear that I had something to say the day Mary Cheney gave birth. It was posted late last night on the front page of The Huffington Post and I hope you’ll check it out. But here’s the question I pose. And I pose it specifically to Scout. OK, to all of you at the same time.
Look at that picture above. The first picture released to the press after the birth of Samuel David (personally I was hoping they would go with Richard, Jr.).
What do you think of it? Is it a step in the right direction that Lynne and Dick are photographed with the son of their daughter and her partner?
Or if Mary was married to someone named Bob instead of someone named Heather, would the entire happy family have been photographed together?
